Sayyidatina Aisha Rady Allahu ‘Anha

Sayyidatina Aisha is one of the most important wives of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. She was born in 9 B.H. and she passed away in 58 A.H, living up to 67 years old. Her whole name is Aisha Siddiqah bint Abu Bakr as Siddiq. She is the daughter of Sayyidina Abu Bakar Siddiq (Rady Allahu Anhu). Her father is a close Companion of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. and is our first Khalifh. She is known as one of the Mothers of Faithful Believers as she is the Prophet’s third wife.

We know that she is one of the most important wives because Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. said that one day he had a dream. In that dream, he was presented with a gift from Heaven. When he opened that gift, he saw Sayyidatina Aisha. What that meant was that Allah informed Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. that he had to marry Sayyidatina Aisha.

Many of the wives of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. were widows, divorcees, and captives of war. Sayyidatina Aisha was not any of them, she was the only virgin that Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. married. Among women, Sayyidatina Aisha reported the greatest number of Ahadith (Sayings) of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.
